I first became acquainted with Lisa Harris in the summer of 2010 when I was looking for a house for my mother. At that time, Lisa had a house listed in my daughter's subdivision and we contacted her. We searched for several weeks, Lisa sold that house and then my mother's situation changed and the search stopped.
Then in mid-2012 I was in the market for a house for myself and reconnected with Lisa because she had been so helpful in my 2010 search. Lisa was so patient with me and did not encourage me to buy something that she knew did not suit my taste. The market changed so quickly in such a short period of time and we had to overcome many obstacles--multiple offer homes, offering more than list price and even making an offer without even physically seeing the home. Lisa was great throughout the entire process. Finally after about ten months of searching we found the perfect home for me. I moved in about two months ago and couldn't be happier-- Lisa even helped with many referrals during and after the fact like painters, lawn service, home inspection, HVAC, lenders, cleaning services, TV, flooring repair, carpet cleaning, movers, handyman, electricians, roofers, and so much more.
If you are looking for a dedicated & highly motivated Realtor, Lisa Harris would be at the top of my list.

RE: Letter of Recommendation for Lisa Harris
To Whom it May Concern:
My husband and I decided to sell our house in 2012. This being our first time on the selling side of real estate, we didn’t know exactly what we were in for. I didn’t realize how much a referral for a real estate agent could matter. Instead I just picked the closest company to me and went with who the front desk assistant said was “the best.” Unfortunately, he wasn’t. This agent made us feel like he was helping us just to even take our listing. He was lazy and very slow to get back to me about anything. Deals fell through mostly, in my opinion, due to lack of follow-up on his part. We decided to stick it out with this agent because of how long we had been with him and we didn’t want to re-do all the paperwork with someone new.
After finally getting under contract to sell our home I looked around for a new agent for buying a house. I talked for a while to a few agents and even looked at some houses with one. Some agents didn’t even want to take us on as clients until our house actually sold. The rest didn’t follow-up on things in a timely manner. My husband and I started thinking no follow-up was a pattern among real estate agents. We even considered going back to our first agent because the rest seemed just a bad.
Luckily, a friend of ours who is a seasoned mortgage lender referred Lisa Harris from RE/MAX to us. After talking to her and seeing a few houses with her it was clear that she was different than those other agents. Lisa got back to me very quickly on any questions we had. She had great experience and initiative. Besides having those key qualities to being a great agent she was also very knowledgeable, prompt, understanding and easy to talk to. Once we found the right house for us Lisa fought extremely hard to make the deal happen. This particular house came with an incredibly sneaky selling agent that made it super difficult to get under contract with. She would slip things into the contract that we did not agree on. Thank goodness Lisa caught the many things this seller’s agent tried to sneak into the contract or we could’ve made a very bad deal. Besides being devious, the seller’s agent had an awful temper. Most agents would not even deal with someone like that but Lisa continued to work with her to get the job done.
My husband and I cannot say enough wonderful things about Lisa. We have been raving about her to our friends, family and co-workers. In the future Lisa is the only agent we will ever use again! That’s saying a lot after all we’ve been through. Thank you Lisa Harris for all you have done for us. We now consider you not only a fantastic agent but also a friend. We absolutely love our new house and could not have gotten it without you.

Local Agent Receives Training to Effectively Counsel Real Estate Investors, Provide Wealth-Building Strategies
Dacula, GA – January 4, 2012 – Lisa A. Harris of RE/MAX Center in Dacula, GA has earned the prestigious Certified Investor Agent Specialist™ (CIAS) Designation, having completed extensive training to understand the different real estate investor types, and the investment opportunities, financing options and calculations needed to provide solutions for each. The five real estate investor types include: First-Time Investors, Move-Up Investors, Portfolio Investors, Performance Investors, and Rehab and Resell Investors.
“For decades, investing in real estate has proven to be a consistent and stable way for individuals to build wealth,” Harris said. “Real estate investment supports a number of industries, including construction, retail and professional services, and is a strong way to energize and increase investment in our local economy.”
Over the past 12 months, investment and second-home properties comprised more than $300 billion in sales, representing approximately 27 percent of all residential real estate transactions. In addition, in market conditions affected by mortgage industry challenges, 48 percent of investors made all-cash purchases.
“As markets face the challenges of distressed properties and a difficult economy, real estate investors have the opportunity to find productive deals while helping communities stabilize,” Harris said. “Investors provide much needed liquidity to the market, decrease vacancy rates, improve neighborhoods, and present solutions for homeowners who need to sell.”
With the CIAS Designation training, Harris will help Gwinnett County-area residents build wealth through real estate investment, and homeowners facing foreclosure find potential buyers for their properties.
Today, millions of homeowners are either delinquent on their mortgages or in the foreclosure process. One potential solution for homeowners in this situation is a short sale, in which the lien holder accepts a sale price of the home that is less than the mortgage amount owed. Increasingly, real estate investors are facilitating this solution.
“When it comes to properties that actually end up in foreclosure,” Harris added, “up to 30 percent of them can’t close conventionally. Investors are often the only ones who can buy them.”
The Distressed Property Institute provides live and online CIAS Courses to train real estate professionals how to address the needs of all real estate investors.

Client Testimonial – Mike & Suzi Miller (via Shannon Miller)
At RE/MAX Center we are very fortunate to be represented by what we believe to be some of the best agents in the Greater Atlanta Market. Here's some incredible feedback from one of Lisa's recent clients....
My wife and I met Lisa Harris through my daughter just a few months ago. Lisa represented the seller of the home my daughter purchased.
When it became clear that we would be moving into the Dacula area my daughter, first thought of Lisa as, the agent to represent us in our home search. My daughter made contact with Lisa and gave her some basic information as to what we were looking for.
In short order, Lisa contacted my wife and I, to arrange a showing appointment. She had already done her homework based on the information that my daughter had given her. She had a number of homes lined up for us to view based on our criteria.
We met Lisa on a Saturday morning for our appointment. It was obvious, from the start that, she was completely knowledgeable of the area, in which, we wished to live and of the process involved to make that happen.
Lisa did such a good job in researching the properties that we made an offer on the very first of the three homes that she showed us. Unfortunately our offer was not accepted on this home due to no fault of Lisa.
Lisa went back to the drawing board and showed us one more home, this home fit our needs exactly and at a better price than we ever could have imagined. The process to close the home was tedious but Lisa was there every step of the way to insure that our best interest was protected.
Lisa’s attention to detail did not end on closing day. She continued to insure that we had all of the information that we needed for make for a smooth move. Utility companies, service companies, community activities and requirements were all laid out for us. All we had to do was call.
It is not often that I sing praise to a sales person. More often than not a sales person gives me the feeling that they are serving their own interest and focusing on their own agenda. NOT SO with Lisa Harris!! She was completely selfless. She was totally focused on my wife Suzan and I during the entire Home Buying process. She made sure that we had correct information that allowed us to make informed decisions which resulted in the purchase of the home we wanted
Hats off to Lisa Harris, Real Estate Agent extraordinaire. She will represent me in all future real estate transactions and be our Friend for all the years to come.
Thanks Lisa for all that you have done for us.
