It's still a tough job market, but opportunities have been on the rise in these counties, making them great places to live and work.
“We are excited that Gwinnett County has been recognized as an excellent place to live and work with this national listing,” said Gwinnett County Commission Chairman Charlotte Nash. “This is a testament to our community’s success in building a great place to live and work and then aggressively marketing ourselves to encourage jobs creation and business investment in Gwinnett. Congratulations to the many organizations and individuals who helped in this effort and to Partnership Gwinnett for bringing them together!”
The listing points to the recent expansions of Mitsubishi Electric US Cooling & Heating and Primerica, Inc. as two firms that are growing in the community. Mitsubishi Electric celebrated the opening of its division headquarters in April 2013, while Primerica opened the doors of its global headquarters in May.
In addition, the recent announcement that National DCP will open a corporate office in the area and create 125 full-time administrative positions was included in the magazine’s assessment.
The County was also recognized for its role as a global leader, home to companies from Japan, Korea, China, and Germany, to name a few. Gwinnett’s proximity to Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport also played a part in the community’s inclusion.
