Home Buyers Facing Huge Challenges in Gwinnett

June 1, 2013 8:41 pm

It's no longer a Buyer's Market!  Can you believe there is a shortage of homes for sale in our area?  It's true, there are only 101 homes for sale in Hoschton, 88 homes for sale in Braselton, 150 homes for sale in Dacula,  244 homes for sale in Buford, 275 homes for sale in Suwanee and 199 homes for sale in Duluth - Gwinnett County has a total of 1,824 active listings according to FMLS.  Seems like a lot, Right?  Not when you are looking for a particular style in a specific school district in your price range.

Buyers are often rushing out to see new listings before the pictures are even posted and quickly placing offers on these properties only to find that there are many other offers that they are competing against.  How do you win the bid on your dream home without overpaying?

The Today Show recently reported on how home buyers are facing similar challenges across the US. This buyer placed 9 offers on 9 different homes before finally winning her bid and paying $100,000 over the List Price.
